Police: Man robs CVS with knife, gets away with narcotics


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after they said a man robbed an area CVS Pharmacy with a knife overnight, getting away with narcotics.

Wilmington Police said the robbery happened at the CVS at 2302 S. 17th Street near New Hanover Regional Medical Center. That’s where they said a white male carrying a knife walked up to the pharmacist and demanded narcotics.

Police said the man got some narcotics in a bag before he walked out the front door of the store. Officers tracked the suspect to a nearby parking lot, where they said they lost the trail.

No one was hurt in the robbery.
