Police respond to afternoon shooting in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police responded to a report of gunfire Thursday afternoon near the Houston Moore community.

WPD received a ShotSpotter alert around 12:30 p.m. in the 1300-block of Martin Street.

No injuries were reported.

No one is in custody at this time.

As of 2 p.m. police were still on the scene.
