Man in custody after pregnant woman reportedly abducted in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department says a man is in custody after a pregnant woman was reportedly kidnapped early Friday morning.

According to WPD, the abduction happened around 2 a.m. in the 500 block of S. Kerr Avenue.

Police said James Waters was named as the woman’s abductor.

The woman was located safely.
