Police: Wanted woman turns herself in

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) — Burgaw Police say the woman accused of stealing thousands from at PTA while she was its co-president has turned herself in.

Police said Shawn-Jaria Jasmine James of Maple Hill is accused of stealing the money while she was the co-president of the Burgaw Elementary School PTA from August to September.

James faces 15 felony counts of obtaining property by false pretense; James’ bond was set at $10,000.
