Police continue search for robbery suspects
Fair Bluff Police are on the hunt for two men suspected of armed robbery. Officers arrested one man they say robbed a Dollar General yesterday and led them on a chase before trying to escape into the woods. Two other suspects are still on the loose.
Police say three armed black men robbed the Dollar General yesterday afternoon. The men tied up two employees and one customer before escaping with about $4,000.
Chadbourn Police later pulled the vehicle over for false tags. The driver took off north on Highway 410 and crashed along Silver Spoon Highway. The suspects then took off on foot into the woods.
“Everybody’s looking now,” said Tommy Hinson, who received the alert. “They’ve got the whole… everybody’s looking for them. So if you see a stranger, you know it’s a stranger in your community, you’ll call 911.”
Police arrested 18-year-old Demetrius Robinson and are holding him under $150,000 bond. They are still looking for the other two men involved in the robbery.
