Police Release Sketch of Downtown Assault Suspect

The victim of a downtown assault has described her attacker. More than two weeks ago, a 24-year-old woman was walking alone around 1 am near Third and Market Streets. She was sexually assualted and stabbed several times. With the help of a forensic sketch artist, and the victim’s description, Wilmington Police released a sketch of the suspect. He is described as black, 29 – 34 years old and about 5’7 to 5’9. He wieghs approximately 185 to 195 lbs with a stocky build, dark hair, dark eyes and medium brown complexion. Anyone who recognizes the man in the drawing or who has other information about this case is asked to call the Wilmington Police Department at 910-343-3600.
