Portion of Lake Park Boulevard to close for two weeks

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) –  A portion of Lake Park Boulevard in Carolina Beach will soon be closed for construction.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6, US HWY 421/Lake Park Boulevard between Charlotte Ave. and Atlanta Ave. will be closed to all traffic. It’s expected to remain closed for approximately two weeks for work related to an infrastructure project.

The town of Carolina Beach says businesses will remain open. You will be able to get to them by using back roads and alternate parking areas. Commercial traffic will be re-routed using Dow Rd.

Carolina Beach says there are message boards in place notifying drivers of the upcoming closure.
