Portion of NC 210 in Pender County to close for two weeks
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A road in Pender County is going to close Monday for two weeks.
It affects drivers traveling north from Holly Shelter Road on N.C. 210.
The Department of Transportation needs to close the road to repair a drainage pipe. According to a news release, Hurricane Matthew severely damaged the existing pipe and it no longer functions.
A signed detour will use NC 201, US 17, I-140 and 1-40. Drivers are advised to expect possible delays while in the area.
“Since this a total closure, drivers should plan their trips in advance and prepare for possible delays,” said Jacksonville Resident Engineer Trevor Carroll. “Please stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.”
The road is expected to reopen April 3.
