Prescribed burn in Carolina Beach State Park

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A prescribed burn is planned for Tuesday morning at Carolina Beach State Park.

According to a release from Park Superintendent Chris Helms, the burn is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9. The burn will be near the park entrance behind the maintenance area and visitor’s center.

The Campground Trail next to the center will be closed, but the park, visitor’s center, marina, and campground will be open and operating normally.
