Program aims to help struggling Wilmington youth
Saturday, the Wilmington Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance will hold its city-wide fellowship.
Twenty-five pastors and twenty-six non-profit organizations will gather at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. The program aims to help struggling youths in the Wilmington area by bringing them together with volunteer organizations.
Pastor James Faison said the program is a call to action. “What the goal is, is for individuals to come and become inspired by the messages that they will here by the fellowship that will take place on that day, but then immediately go out, right there on site they can sign up to volunteer and to assist.”
Among the twenty-six non-profits participating in the event will be the Cape Fear Community Resource Center, The United Way, and the Wilmington YMCA.
The program will run from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
