Public hearing Tuesday night concerning annexation of Monkey Junction

Tuesday night is your chance to speak your mind on the proposed annexation of Monkey Junction.

Wilmington City Council is meeting to discuss resolutions to approve two voluntary annexations in the Monkey Junction area. The total area equals about ninety acres.

If the land is voluntarily annexed, both pieces of land would become part of the city in June of this year instead of 2010.

City Council will vote on the issue May 5th. The public hearing is Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
