Public invited to tour the USS Gravely

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) -– The Wilmington-based Commissioning Committee of the USS Gravely (DDG 107), in cooperation with the officers and crew of the USS Gravely, have arranged for the limited, free public tours of the Navy’s newest Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer.
The USS Gravely will dock at the North Carolina State Ports, Port of Wilmington, from Friday, Nov. 12 through Nov. 22. Tours to the public will be offered Saturday, Nov. 13 through Nov. 19. However, tickets will be necessary to gain access to the ports for the appointed time of a tour. No exceptions will be made and the free tickets are not transferable.
Please note: tour tickets are not the same as tickets to the Nov. 20 commissioning ceremony. Public tour tickets do not allow the holder access to the naval commissioning.
Before registering, please be aware that rubber soled shoes are requested and that those interested in touring should be able to walk up and down stairs without difficulty. The following items will not be allowed on the tours: guns, knives, backpacks, high heels and children under 8 years of age. There is limited access for those who are mobility impaired.

Ticketholders will be required to present picture identification and ticket upon arrival for the tour.
