Publix coming to Ocean Isle Beach

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Publix Super Markets has signed a lease on a new store in Ocean Isle Beach.

According to a news release, the store will be located in Ocean Isle Beach Market Place, at the corner of Causeway and Beach Drives.

It’s expected to open in 2018.

The store will be approximately 39,000 square feet and hire 130 people.

This will be the fourth Publix to come to our area. The Publix at Pine Valley in Wilmington opened in August.  The Publix at Ogden Market Place in Wilmington is scheduled to open by the end of this year, and the Publix at Arboretum in Surf City is coming in 2018.
