Pumpkin patch tradition continues, opens late September

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It’s the first day of September and soon you’ll start seeing pumpkin everything popping up.

Sunday, September 30, the pumpkin patch at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church opens to the public.

It started 27 years ago to fund youth ministry and mission projects at the church.

Some of the non-profits they help include Wilington Area Rebuilding Ministry and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard.

The patch will be open September 30 through Halloween.
