Pups and people flock to Paw Jam
Plenty of adopted pups came out to enjoy the weather and socialize at Battleship Park on Saturday.
Hundreds of canines and their owners celebrated the 8th Annual Paw Jam.
Both the dogs and their owners had the chance to make some new friends. The event helped raised money for area animal rescue shelters.
“The whole point of paw jam is education and educating people about the problem of pet overpopulation and helping those groups that work to solve that problem,” said Suzanne Jalot of Paws of NC.
Jalot said it’s important to have your pet spade or neutered to help prevent overpopulation.
