Red Ribbon Week teaches kids
Wrightsboro Elementary second graders are using their artistic talents to tell others to just say no.
It is part of a national campaign called Red Ribbon Week. It focuses on reducing the demand for alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Students in second grade take the day to make drawings to encourage others to stay away from drugs.
Riley Dunwood, a second grader, said “We are learning about don’t do drugs stuff, and we are going to do songs and music about drugs.”
Wrightsboro Elementary has positive activities planned for the students all week such as special assemblies and art contests.
