Registered sex offender accused of sexually assaulting child

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Pender County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Willard man on numerous child sexual assault charges.

Brent Adam Murray, 37, is accused of molesting a 6-year-old boy.

In 2005, Murray was convicted of indecent liberties involving a child under the age of 13 in Duplin County.

Deputies arrested Murray at his home on Thursday.

He’s charged with indecent liberties with a child, sexual battery, statutory sex offense of a child by adult, and sexual battery.

He is in the Pender County Jail under a $3,000,000 bond.
