Report: Building Trader Joe’s on College & Oleander wouldn’t make traffic worse
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – Building a Trader Joe’s in the empty lot on College and Oleander wouldn’t cause much more congestion, reports the StarNews.
Citing a traffic impact study done for the City of Wilmington, local intersections get level-of-service grades from A to F. The grades evaluate the level of controlled delay, with F being the longest delay.
College & Oleander gets an E right now. If Trader Joe’s builds its 13,000-square-foot store as proposed on the northeast corner, the intersection would still operate at an E.
Contractors project Trader Joe’s will open in 2014 if it gets city approval.
