Republican Stiller to leave NC House

A state representative is stepping down. Brunswick County Republican Bonner Stiller is leaving the North Carolina House effective June 15th.

Stiller said, “It is a difficult decision to make, and life is full of difficult decisions. I truly base this decision on my family first and my business.”

Stiller is an attorney working in southern Brunswick County. He has been a member of the House for seven years.

The Republican party in Brunswick County will pick his successor. Stiller told us he considers Oak Island resident, Frank Iler, the front runner. Iler is the chairman of the Brunswick County Republican Party.
