Resident burned in early morning house fire in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Fire Department responded to a second structure fire overnight. It happened during the early morning hours Monday.
WFD were able to put out a fire at 414 South 8th Street. Around 3 a.m., the fire department tweeted that a resident suffered burns to their face and hands as well as inhalation burns. That person was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Fire crews say there was also damage to a nearby home.
Update 414 S 8th , the resident received burns to face, hands, and inhalation burns. Transported to NHRMC. Cause still under investigation.

Crews are still investigating the cause.
