‘Revolution’ creates abandoned downtown

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Ever wonder what Wilmington might look like if it were deserted?

That’s the scene crews created to film the new TV series “Revolution” Tuesday morning. Shutting down a portion of Front Street, our busy downtown was transformed into a quiet, abandoned street.

Crews packed up shop before noon, but they did not go far. Filming resumed immediately in front of the Schwartz Center at Cape Fear Community College.
