Reward now offered in hit-and-run that injured 4
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Troopers said there is now a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in a hit-and-run that sent four to the hospital.
That incident happened before 2:00 a.m. Saturday on Marsh Oaks Drive. New Hanover High lacrosse coach Keith Hatcher, former head football coach Frank Meehan, his wife Maureen and Jeffrey West were hit. Family members said the three men remain in the hospital, including West who was seriously hurt. According to a 911 call, a green or dark colored SUV hit the group of pedestrians.
Troopers said they’re working around the clock to find out who is responsible. They said they’re analyzing a small piece of the vehicle that was found on scene to hopefully get more information about the make of the SUV.
Troopers said the cash reward is for information that leads to an arrest. These tips to Crimestoppers can be anonymous. The reward amount was not disclosed.
