Reward increased in turtle death investigation

TOPSAIL BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Investigators still don’t know who tortured and killed a rare sea turtle on Topsail Beach, but the reward has increased for anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. The Humane Society of the US is kicking in $2,500, boosting the total reward to $10,000.

Investigators say someone killed a tied up a Kemp’s Ridley turtle last month.
