Reward offered in case of slain Brinks guard in NC
GREENSBORO — Brinks Inc. has offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed an armored truck guard in North Carolina last month.
The News & Record of Greensboro reports that police announced the reward in the Dec. 15 slaying of 25-year-old Juan Esteban Salado. The guard was killed outside an Old Navy store in a Greensboro shopping center after his truck picked up bags of bank deposits.
Police said a man dressed in hospital scrubs and wearing a wig entered the store and waited for the armored truck, then shot Salado in the head.
No one in the store was hurt. A second Brinks employee with the victim was not injured.
