Reward offered in search for Marine
JACKSONVILLE (AP) — Investigators are now offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads them to the suspect in the death of a pregnant Marine from Ohio.
Federal authorities are working to post billboards nationwide with a picture of Marine Corporal Cesar Laurean. He’s wanted in the death of Lance Corporal Maria
Lauterbach of Vandalia, near Dayton, who had accused Laurean of rape last year.
On Saturday, officials recovered what they think are the remains of Lauterbach and her unborn child from a fire pit behind Laurean’s house near Camp Lejeune.
Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown says federal marshals have spoken with Laurean’s family but haven’t found him.
