Road closure starts soon for Riverfront Park project

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Downtown Wilmington will see a road closure for a long period of time.

City officials said beginning Dec. 7, you will not be able to access the Princess Street and Water street intersection in your car. However, you can still walk there.

That will last until, at least, February.

Crews must install sewer lines and replace some of the stormwater drainage system. This is the next step in the $6.3 million Riverfront Park overhaul.
