Road Closures in Brunswick County
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The North Carolina Department of Transportation will close Cedar Hill Road in both directions starting Friday, March 11 at 10 p.m.
The closure is 0.5 miles North of Royster Road NE and will last until Monday, March 21 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
According to a release, bridge and utility work over and under the roadway is being done in addition to construction of I-140 from US 74/76 to Cedar Hill Road. The work is part of the Wilmington Bypass Project that began March 3, 2014 with a completion date of April, 2018. The project is to improve safety and congestion in this area.
Drivers are advised to use caution while driving in the area and to expect delays. NCDOT reminds drivers to watch for signs with construction information, stay alert, and follow the speed limit.
