Robber demands to know, “Where’s the weed?!”

Time: 11:38 p.m. – Tuesday night
Location: 200 Block of Darlington Avenue
Offense: Armed Robbery

Summary: The victims, man and woman, ages 20 and 19, reported that they were leaving a relative’s apartment by the back door.

As they walked toward the parking lot, the male victim said he saw a young man wearing a red shirt run around the corner of the building toward him.

The robber brandished a handgun and demanded to know, “where’s the weed?” (The victim said he didn’t know what his assailant was talking about).

The victim turned and ran back into the apartment for help. When he ran back out, his female companion was on the ground yelling, and three men were running away.

The female victim confirmed that as her companion was dealing with the first robber, two men with their faces covered by their shirts ran up to her, grabbed her purse and pushed her to the ground. Then all three robbers fled.

This case is under investigation.
