Robert Downey Jr. injured, ‘Iron Man 3’ stops shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Robert Downey Jr. injured his ankle today on the set of “Iron Man 3” causing the production to stop shooting for now.

In a statement, Marvel Studios said, “Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of ‘Iron Man 3’ in Wilmington while performing a stunt. There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.”

No word on when the film will be back up and running.
