Robeson County principal shot

Police are investigating the shooting of a Robeson County school principal who was wounded while driving to work Thursday morning.

Authorities said James Hunt of Fairmont Middle School was shot in the face around 7:30.

Robeson County Schools Superintendent said Hunt was sitting up and alert after being transported to Duke University Hospital.
