Rocky Point man who sexually touched two girls pleads guilty

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Rocky Point man who has been in jail since June will be placed on probation for five years for touching two young girls.

Walter Eric Taylor, 39, pled guilty to two counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child.

Taylor touched two young girls in 2005 and 2008 in a sexual manner. Both girls were 10 at the time.

Judge Phyllis Gorham sentenced him to two consecutive suspended sentences of 16-20 months each, with a special condition he serve an active portion of 11 months, which he has served since his arrest in 2016.

As well as probation, he must register as a sex offender for 30 years.
