Romney wins in Michigan
DETROIT (AP) — It’s certainly a three-way race now.
After finishing twice in second place, Mitt Romney has scored his first major victory by winning Michigan’s Republican primary. Romney easily outpolled John McCain and Mike Huckabee, who finished third.
The three GOP candidates have all now been in the win column. The home-state win was crucial for Romney, who has sank an estimated 20 million dollars from his own pockets into a campaign
that had been sagging.
Bringing up the rear were Texas Congressman Ron Paul, followed by former Senator Fred Thompson and then former New York Mayor Rudy Guiliani.
