Rotarians honored for half century of service

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — No matter what age you are it’s always good to be recognized and appreciated. Some folks who have served the Wilmington Rotary for more than 50 years got that appreciation today.

Four Wilmington Rotarians were honored for their service to the club. They say they are a part of the organization to serve others, and that they are honored to be honored.

Bill McEachern says he loves being a part of rotary and says there is a sense of brotherhood and fellowship in the club.

“You come in every week and you see the same people and develop real good friendships over the years,” h he said. “Fellowship. That’s what it’s all about.”

Sam Warshauer, Billy Sutton and Frank Floyd were also honored for their years of service. The men say they take great pride in what they do for the community. They say they’ve always been hard workers and can’t imagine a day that they won’t be.
