San Juan Cafe closes, property seized by NC Department of Revenue
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington restaurant closed abruptly. It’s property was seized by the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
According to a sign on the door of San Juan Cafe, the Department of Revenue seized the restaurant due to nonpayment of taxes.
WWAY reached out to one of owners who said he currently lives in Georgia and has not been involved in the business for about two years now. The restaurant opened back in 2011.
WWAY also reached out to the North Carolina Department of Revenue for more information and have not heard back yet.
