SBI agent indicted for allegedly stealing Pender Co. Sheriff campaign sign

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — An SBI agent has been indicted for allegedly stealing a campaign sign for a man who was running for a seat in our area, according to the district attorney’s office.

A spokeswoman says Jay Scott Floyd is charged with misdemeanor larceny and intentionally littering.

She says those charges are related to the theft of a campaign sign belonging to Joseph Cina, a former candidate for Pender County Sheriff.

WWAY has reached out to the SBI to ask about Floyd’s employment status, but have not heard back.
