SC NAACP condemns Conway-area cross burning as ‘hate crime’
CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — The South Carolina NAACP has released a statement calling for a hate crime law in South Carolina following the November 24 cross burning in Conway.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, a white couple allegedly harassed their Black neighbors with verbal and online threats, culminating in the couple burning a cross in view of their neighbors’ yard.
