SC senator rallies for Romney support in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham rallied in Wilmington with veterans and military families in support of Mitt Romney’s presidential run Tuesday night.

Graham, who is also a Colonel in the Air Force Reserve, spoke at Battleship Park. He highlighted local veterans who have helped lead a grassroots campaign for Romney. Graham said he made the trip from the Palmetto State because of North Carolina’s critical role as a swing state.

“I’ll go anywhere and everywhere I can to try and end this Obama presidency not because I dislike President Obama, but because I’m very worried about the economic future, the debt he’s run up and the danger in the Mideast that he’s not handling very well,” Sen. Graham said.

Graham also serves on the Senate’s Committee on Armed Services.
