School districts still seeking bus drivers

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — As the school year looms closer and closer, some of the local school districts are still struggling to get more bus drivers together.

Brunswick County Schools says they are anticipating their bus driver staff to be 20 people short of a full staff of 205 drivers and will hold training dates on August 14, 15, and 16.

New Hanover County Schools says they are only understaffed by six drivers but they are ready for the school year.

They recently held a test and will see how many drivers they get from that group.
