The 23rd Annual Pleasure Island Seafood, Blues and Jazz Festival slated for Saturday and Sunday in Kure Beach will now be a one-day event next spring. Organizers say the festival has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 23, 2017, at the Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area. Johnny Lang will be the headlining act.

For a second year in a row, Riverfest has had to cancel its annual festivities in downtown Wilmington. Organizers say they will look at options to reschedule after the storm has passed. Riverfest was also rescheduled last year because of a storm threat.
