Seattle Seahawks release Owen Spencer

LELAND,NC (WWAY) – Former North Brunswick Scorpion wide receiver Owen Spencer has been released from the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. Spencer signed with the team earlier this month. The Seahawks re-signed offensive guard Brent Osborne to take Spencer’s spot on the practice squad.

The former NC State standout spent the majority of the NFL pre-season with the Tennessee Titans. The Titans cut Spencer in late August.

Owen Spencer attended Friday’s high school football game in Leland. West Brunswick beat previously undefeated North Brunswick 41-28.
