Security exercise planned for Southport-Fort Fisher ferry terminal

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – Don’t be alarmed if you see a lot of emergency crews near the Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry terminals tomorrow.

The ferry division is participating in a security exercise.

The TSA’s Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response team, Brunswick and New Hanover County Sheriff Departments, US Coast Guard and other emergency crews will all be involved.

According to a news release, this should not have any affect on the ferry schedule.
