Sen. Soles’s father has died

TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — The father of Sen. R.C. Soles, Jr., died this morning at Loris Community Hospital. Robert Charles Soles, Sr., was 98 years old.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Tabor City Baptist Church. The committal service will be at 2 p.m. in the Myrtle Green Cemetery in Tabor City.

Sen. Soles’s office told WWAY earlier this week the senator was tending to his father, who was in the hospital after a fall.
