Senate candidate holds roundtable in Leland
LELAND, NC (WWAY) — US Senate candidate Deborah Ross continued her statewide tour today in Leland.
Ross and Leland Mayor Brenda Bozeman sat down with community members to listen to their concerns. Table topics ranged from economic growth to social security and medicare. Ross said one of her priorities is to sit down with North Carolinians from the mountains to the coast.
“They interact with each other because a lot of people who come to these round tables don’t know each other before they came here, so bringing the community together has always been a priority of mine,” Ross said.
Ross plans to continue her tour across the state for more community discussions. Ross, a Democrat, is running against Sen. Richard Burr, a Republican, who is seeking his third term in the Senate.
