SOUTHEASTERN NC (WWAY) — Tropical Storm Debby forcing several area law enforcement agencies to postpone an annual event designed to foster police-community partnerships in order to make neighborhoods safer.
Four National Night Out events scheduled in New Hanover and Columbus counties for August 6th have been canceled.
Carolina Beach Police Department, Wilmington Police Department, Columbus County Sheriff’s Office and Whiteville Police Department have all decided to postpone their events due to the threat of severe weather from the storm.
