Several baby alligators spotted in Wrightsville Beach neighborhood

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Wrightsville Beach Police Department is reminding you to not feed wildlife after several baby alligators were seen in a neighborhood.

The department posted on Facebook that the alligators were recently spotted at Sea Path Estates. North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and a marine biologist were notified, but said they will not be removing them.

“The alligators will leave on their own since they do not prefer saltwater,” WBPD wrote online. “Please do not feed them or disturb them.”
