Several ShotSpotter alerts reported in Wilmington Tuesday night


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police had a busy Tuesday night with ShotSpotter activations.

A WPD spokeswoman said three separate incidents were reported last night. The first was reported just after 5:15 p.m. in the 900 block of S. 11th Street. Witnesses said two men shot at a home and car in the area. No one was hurt.

The second incident was reported around 8:40 p.m. in the 600 block of N. 30th Street. Police said two homes were hit by gunfire, but no injuries were reported.

A third activation was a reported drive-by shooting on Colwell Avenue. Three arrests have been made.
