Sewer repair update
WILMINGTON — An update on how sewer repairs are progressing in Wilmington: after diverting sewage through a network of temporary piping, crews have lined a 450-foot stretch of old pipe in the Bradley Creek area with a special material to help remedy previously leaky lines.
William Robertson explains how a fiberglass resin makes it all work. He said, "Here's what it looked like down the manhole before the liner was installed… and here's the view afterwards with the white liner in place." (Watch video)
Robertson says the work will be done in stages. The next part of the process is scheduled for later this month.
