Sex offender faces more charges in Pender County

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) —  A registered sex offender in Pender County is facing more charges this morning.

According to Pender County Jail records 28-year-old Timothy John Jeffers of Hampstead faces charges of sex offender use of a social website, felony failure to register as a sex offender, and sex offender on a child premise. He is being held on a $30,000 secured bond.

North Carolina Department of Public Safety records show Jeffers was convicted in 2012 of a 2009 assault on a female. He was on probation for that charge.
