Sex offender facing pot charges

Detectives with the Pender County Sheriff’s office Narcotics Unit arrested 41-year-old David Gerald Batts, a convicted sex offender, at his residence at 308 Oakmont Dr. Hampstead N.C. with manufacturing marijuana, possession with the intent to manufacture sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for manufacture/sell of marijuana, and 4(cts.) of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Batts is incarcerated in the Pender County Jail under a $50,000.00 secured bond.
