Shallotte man arrested on drug charges receives $1 million bond
BRUNSWICK COUNTY,NC (WWAY) — The $1 million bond District Attorney Jon David said would be in effect for alleged drug traffickers is holding true in Brunswick County.
Covia Smith, 44, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine.
According to warrants, Smith had more than 10 grams of cocaine. The alleged crime happened in June.
Smith is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
According to the NC Department of Public Safety, Smith has prior drug and assault convictions.
